Owners of new apartments are entitled to, and should take advantage of, a pre-settlement or final inspection of the property before settlement and occupation of the property. This gives owners one last opportunity to view the apartment for layout, any noticeable repairs or missing items and to verify the function of utilities ready for handover.
Lefand offers a service to its developer clients by attending and assisting in the co-ordination of these pre-settlement inspections. This is done via careful planning and discussions with the developer in advance and in the stages leading up to completion and settlement.
On the prescribed day/s, Lefand will set up and attend site over the pre-settlement period to carry out guided inspections of the apartment with the owner. Here owners are shown around the apartment, carspace and any utility lots to ensure what they have bought is in accordance with their contract of sale. Owners will also be given the opportunity after the inspection to speak with a range of utility providers to help with their phone, internet, electricity etc set-ups as well as other contract suppliers for add-ons to the apartment (eg blinds, flooring, air-conditioning etc).
